Naga, Here I Come!

Tomorrow morning, April 25, 2011, Tuesday, 4:00 am, I will be leaving for Naga City, Bicol. With friends/co-teachers, we will attend the wedding of my good friend Tatum. This will be the farthest trip I will make so far and so I'm a bit nervous but excited at the same time. I brought with me my notebook and pen to dabble in travel writing. As an antidote to my nervousness, I keep inside my pocket my father's rosary with a St. Benedict medal attached to it and a prayer to Mary, Help of Christians.

Eleven hours to Naga. Back to Manila on Friday, I'll be alone travelling for the last episode of our radio show on Saturday. Please pray for me for a safe journey.

I'll write about my Naga experience when I get back to Manila. Maghahanap ako ng kuwento. What I am excited about is that my father worked in Kodak, Naga City in the 70's for about three to four years as a bachelor. One of my mission is to look for his landlady's daughter. His landlady apparently treated him like a son.

So wish me luck and whisper some prayers for a safe travel.
